The clock came first. We built the software after.

Takt started on a dispatch floor, not in a product meeting. Three of our founders ran timetables for a living before they wrote a line of code — the software exists because the spreadsheets and the radio calls couldn't keep the promise the timetable made.

How we work

Small team, big clock

Every engineer at Takt spends a week a year on an operator's dispatch floor — watching the timetable they ship meet the morning it was built for. It keeps the product honest: a feature that looks clever at a desk and slows a dispatcher down at 6am doesn't ship.

We roll out one corridor at a time, in person for the first week, and we stay reachable on the same radio channel as your own team until the handover is boring.

“They sent an engineer to sit in our control room for a week before they changed a single screen. That's not how software companies usually behave.”
— M. Oyelaran, head of operations, Lagos-Ibadan corridor
